A very unusual sculptural succulent shrub with flat, leafless, spineless branches. Will grow to 2m high and wide, but needs shelter from cold and winter rain. Can be fragile if brushed against. A good xerophyte, it will grow well in containers with natural soils, once established it needs no irrigation.
