A very pretty, colourful and easy to grow succulent. It is suitable for a container or as ground cover. Forms a rounded cushion of bright green rosettes that turn red under stress of heat or cold.

Keep it dry and with plenty of light and it will stay more compact and robust. It looks best with a little bit of shelter from the elements, but it will survive in fairly harsh conditions. It blooms in spring, with abundant golden yellow flowers held above the foliage.
