Dry mediterranean gravel gardens

This gallery shows what can be done in dry gardens with minimal water. If species that are adapted to these conditions are used and planted at the right time and the right size we can create an interesting garden. Plants can be given some help by covering the ground with a thick mulch to retain moisture and insulate the soil.

The last few photos in the gallery show wild landscapes that may be the inspiration for designing un-irrigated gardens.
