Syn. Achillea 'Lilac Beauty', Achillea millefolium 'Lavender Beauty'.

A mat forming perennial with flat platform-like flowers borne on 80 cm high stalks. Foliage is dense, green and fern-like. Masses of long lasting flowers are lilac purple fading to paler pink lavender with age. Usually they appear in late spring and throughout summer but like all Achillea it very much depends on weather and they will flower in winter here in the Algarve.

More Information

Best in full sun and in well dug soil as it relies on suckers to spread, each plant can reach a height of 60 cm but survives just as well as a smaller plant in poor soils. Like all Achilleas, and providing there is still moisture in the soil, it will benefit from being cut back after the first flowering to encourage a later bloom. Quite drought tolerant once established, particularly if mulched with gravel.
