Green Pig's Ear. A shrubby succulent, up to 90cm tall, with a smooth, sturdy stem supporting many branches of rounded, fleshy, bright green leaves with red margins. Attractive when not in flower, this plant is particularly striking in winter and spring when long stems emerge bearing clusters of showy, bell-shaped, coral red flowers.
These succulents need a well-drained, gritty mix and plenty of sunlight. They will tolerate cool, frost-free conditions in winter if kept dry. Well suited as a specimen plant in the garden or in pots and containers.
Feed once or twice during the growing season with a special low nitrogen fertilizer for cacti and succulents containing all micronutrients and trace elements, diluted to half the strength recommended on the label.
Native to South Africa and Swaziland, where it grows in coastal cliffs and dunes, or in rock crevices in exposed positions on slopes, often in low treeless vegetation between grasses.

Once an order is agreed we require a 50% payment to secure the plants. Plants in the shopping basket are not reserved until an order is placed.
