Pelargonium gibbosum
Known as arthritic Pelargonium, because of its swollen joints or nodes. It is a very unusual summer deciduous plant that is an interesting addition to any dry garden. They thrive in heat, with normal winter rainfall and can also be grown as a trailing pot plant. It is a tough, sprawling ground cover for dunes, sandy gardens, rockeries or pots, that flowers from summer to autumn. The stems are succulent when young, but become woody as the plant ages, and have immensely swollen nodes. It will creep along the ground or through other plants, with stems extending to 5 metres or more. Sulphur yellow flowers that are scented at night, with a perfume like vanilla or bananas, so plant it close to areas where the aroma can be enjoyed.
The fresh leaves and buds can be eaten fresh as a wild food, the taste is tart but palatable.

Only when all the details of your order are agreed, will we send you an agreed Factura/Invoice and request payment from you.

Once an order is agreed we require a 50% payment to secure the plants. Plants in the shopping basket are not reserved until an order is placed.

Plants we have but they are still growing into their containers. These are offered for reservation and will be released once they are ready. An estimated date for their availability is given.
