Mexican Bush Sage. This is an all purple variety of Salvia leucantha, with velvety purple calyces and extended, matching purple petals. Slightly less vigorous and shorter than Salvia leucantha, it still requires plenty of space. Both are very drought tolerant and very reliable additions to any garden. They flower in late summer, through into autumn. In spring, new shoots will start to emerge, so carefully cut all the old growth back to the ground after flowering.
Until the plant becomes well established, a deep watering once per month in the height of summer will be beneficial, but not essential. Just like all Salvia's that put on early Spring growth, watch out for seasonal droughts, the best flowers will only come if the plant gets enough water in late Spring, so if the rains don't come, a few deep waterings are a good idea.

Once an order is agreed we require a 50% payment to secure the plants. Plants in the shopping basket are not reserved until an order is placed.
