A very flat ground covering form about 15 cm high and 100 cm wide, rooting along the stem in gravel. It is tough enough to allow occasional foot traffic, releasing a fresh herby aroma. Light blue flowers in winter and early spring brighten up the garden and are a very valuable source of nectar and pollen for bees at this time of year.

Most Rosemary species do not tolerate irrigation and thrive in heat and with only normal winter rainfall.
