Dry land Euphorbia spurges

Euphorbia is a very large and diverse genus of flowering plants. Euphorbias from the deserts of Southern Africa and Madagascar have evolved physical characteristics similar to cacti and are often mistaken for such. On the other side of the family are the Spurges, many of which come from the mediterrean basin. They range from low ground hugging species to bushes and trees, many are extremely drought tolerant, have colourful foliage and stems as well as putting on a beautiful show when they flower.
