Covering ground can be difficult and grass lawns are often unsuited to the rocks and dry soil conditions we are faced with in mediterranean gardens. There are alternatives, plants that tuck themselves away amongst paving and rocks, creating their own environmental growing conditions, in the right places they can create an alternative to the traditional grass lawn.
