Parque de La Paloma, Benalmadena in Spain is a free public park covering 20 hectares in the centre of the town. Part of it is planted as a botanical garden of mostly succulents and cactus. This is far from the standard display of cactus that  you often see, much of this garden has been landscaped with careful choices of succulents grouped together with some real thought.  Visit in late spring if you can, when many species are at their best and in flower.
